You rotate from station to station, nervously sharing personal information with someone you might never have met before, hoping these initial conversations will spark a long-term relationship that helps you fulfill your wildest dreams.

Speed dating? Good guess, but no dice.

This is “Speed Savings,” the novel event Sunmark Federal Credit Union, Latham, N.Y., devised to celebrate International Credit Union Day with a literal embodiment of the people-helping-people philosophy.

The $419 million asset credit union will host the free event Thursday, Oct. 16, giving both members and nonmembers the opportunity to meet for 10 to 15 minutes apiece with financial representatives about subjects such as mortgages, insurance, investments, and savings.
