Staatz elected chair at CUNA annual general meeting

Executive officers were elected for the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) during the CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference today.

Rod Staatz, president/CEO of SECU, Linthicum, Md., was elected chair following the 82nd annual general meeting. He succeeds Susan Streifel, president/CEO of Woodstone CU, Federal Way, Wash.

Other CUNA board officers elected Monday are:

• Vice chair: Patrick Jury, president/CEO, Iowa Credit Union League, Des Moines, Iowa;
• Secretary: Maurice Smith, president/CEO, Local Government FCU, Raleigh, N.C.;
• Treasurer: Brett Martinez, president/CEO, Redwood CU, Santa Rosa, Calif.; and
• At-large member: Troy Stang, president/CEO, Northwest Credit Union Association, Seatac, Wash.
