Prepaid Student/Teen Programs offer several growth options for credit unions. Most credit unions already know the value of attracting young members and moving them into more lucrative, sophisticated products as they become money earners. To add to this, credit unions in particular should be taking a hard look at prepaid reloadable programs as an alternative to debit and credit cards in light of the Durbin Amendment.
