NAFCU will be monitoring closely the Senate’s return this week as well as two House subcommittee hearings on flood insurance and the president’s State of the Union address tomorrow.
The House Financial Services Subcommittee on Housing and Insurance will hold hearings tomorrow and Wednesday on challenges facing the National Flood Insurance Program. The program is set to expire in 2017; the hearings will focus both on how to improve the current program and how to reform its successor. The subcommittee will also consider H.R. 2901, the “Flood Insurance Market Parity and Modernization Act.”
