Matt Davis grew up tinkering, now he's tinkering with gamification at CUs.

In the first episode of the CUNA News Podcast, a weekly show featuring credit union people and ideas, CUNA Senior Editor Craig Sauer discusses gamification with Matt Davis, the founder of gameFI.

The startup hopes to improve employee engagement at credit unions through game concepts.

Davis started his credit union career at Members Credit Union in Winston-Salem, N.C., before joining the Filene Research Institute as director of innovation. He left Filene to start gameFI.

Davis also started CU Watercooler, a curated credit union content aggregation website, and 6th Story, a consulting firm that helps credit unions understand and improve their storytelling skills. He earned his CUDE designation from the National Credit Union Foundation in 2009. Davis lives in Madison, Wis., with his wife and two sons.
