Veterans Day savings honor those who serve

This Veterans Day, as the country honors those who have served, many businesses will demonstrate their gratitude by offering discounts to current and former members of the military and their families.

Here are just a few.

Best Western Hotels & Resorts:  Military families receive at least 10% off the hotel chain’s flexible rate.

Bed and Breakfast Inns (U.S. and Canada): Military families needing a quick getaway can enjoy a free stay at participating Bed and Breakfast Inns courtesy of the B&Bs for Vets (bnbforvets.org) military special.

Starbucks: Start your Veterans Day off with a free Tall Brewed Coffee. All active duty service members, reservists, veterans and military spouses are eligible.

Golden Corral: Military veterans, retirees and active duty members can enjoy a free dinner from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 12

Macaroni Grill: All veterans and active military get a Mom’s Ricotta Meatballs and Spaghetti entrée for free on Sunday, Nov. 11.

Famous Daves: On Nov. 11 and Nov. 12, all former and current military personnel will receive a free two-meat combo.

Red Robin: Dine in and get the Red’s Tavern Double Burger and bottomless steak fries for free on Veteran’s Day, Nov. 11.

Goodyear Auto Service and Just Tires: All active and retired military members and first responders get free “Checks for Vets,” plus up to 10% off tires.

Brides Across America: Throughout November, look for Brides Across America events giving away free wedding dresses to qualified military brides-to-be. The group has partnered with bridal salons across the nation. All military brides must pre-register online at bridesacrossamerica.com.

UnderArmour: Through Nov. 12, military, veterans & first responders will get 15% off online and in all Under Armour stores.

Target: Through Nov. 12, all active duty military, veterans and their spouse sand/or dependent children are eligible to receive a 10% discount both online and at stores.

Enterprise: Get $300 added onto the Kelly Blue Book appraisal price of your vehicle throughout the month of November. All active U.S. military, veterans and dependents are eligible.

U.S. National Park Service:  Enjoy a fun day in national parks for free. Fees will be waived at most of its day-use recreation sites over the Veterans Day holiday weekend.

Knott’s Berry Farm: Veterans and active-duty military and one guest can enter the park for free from Nov. 1-15 and Nov. 26 to Dec. 21.
