CUNA, Leagues, and credit unions visited Washington, D.C., this week to welcome the members of the 118th Congress. We worked hard to ensure a credit union friendly majority in this Congress, and we’re ready to work with our champions to advance pro-credit union policies.
We welcomed several members and staff in person Wednesday at a reception we hosted on Capitol Hill. Despite all the drama and votes this week in the House, several new members of Congress stopped by.
Leagues and credit unions also met with members and their staff throughout the week at their Hill offices, and I heard from many that credit unions were the first in the door to greet their elected officials.
As a former member of Congress, let me tell you that being the first one in the door is very impactful. It shows you’re serious about working together to get things done.
