Who helped you grow?

Take a moment to ponder this;

When was the last time that you said thank you to someone that helped you on your career journey?

Chances are you had to really think.

We rarely take the time to sincerely thank the people that played an influential role in our career paths and why is that?

Careers can be much like tunnel vision. You become stuck on your next goal, next project, next position. You get overwhelmed with the number of things that you want to accomplish that you become complacent on how you even got there in the first place.

Credit Unions are built on the foundation of people helping people. We exist to help, serve, and assist our members grow. Why aren’t we taking the time to thank the people that have helped us do exactly that?

I challenge you to reach out to someone that has helped you grow to where you are in your career journey. Someone that sticks out in your mind as that positive influential role that opened your eyes to the many possibilities. Say thank you. Not JUST thank you. Tell them WHY you are thanking them.

Give them that gift and watch the magic that follows.
