3 simple ways to lower your water bill

Paying for water isn’t usually something worth stressing over. But if you’re looking to save money, there are plenty of areas where you can cut back, including your water bill. Here are three ways you can lower your water bill…

Stop the drips: A small drip in the faucet of your seldom-used third bathroom may not be enough to drive you crazy, but over time that can add up to gallons of wasted water. Taking care of those drips can help you pay for that coffee you like to buy every morning.

Don’t overuse: Cut off the sink while you’re brushing your teeth. Don’t set the washing machine to large when you’re washing that medium load of clothes. Make sure your dishwasher is slam full before you start it up. There are a lot of ways we use too much water, so figure out where you’re being wasteful and put an end to it.

Go for the upgrade: There are faucets and shower heads available at your local home improvement store that are more efficient than the ones you currently have. While it takes a few weeks to get used to a lower water pressure in your shower (trust me, I know), you’ll eventually adjust to it and your wallet will thank you.
