Bismarck, ND (September 4, 2025) |
The Dakota Credit Union Association (DakCU) is very pleased to announce the newest member of their advocacy team, as Kenley Lamberty joins the association as Director of Political Strategy & Engagement.
Kenley most recently served as the Government Affairs Director at the REALTOR® Association of the Sioux Empire, where he worked closely with local lawmakers to advance the interests of REALTORS® and managed a Political Action Committee (PAC) supporting candidates throughout a five-county area. His work in economic development and experience collaborating with city officials, combined with a background in federal advocacy from a previous internship with Senator John Thune, gives him a unique perspective on both local and national policy initiatives. He is a graduate of the University of South Dakota, where he earned his B.A. in Political Science.
In addition to his professional experience, Kenley serves on the City of Sioux Falls Zoning Board of Adjustments, volunteers with Junior Achievement teaching students about business, and partners with organizations like the Sioux Falls Housing Action Team and Sioux Empire Housing Partnership to support local housing initiatives.
Kenley’s primary responsibility at DakCU will be to assist the advocacy team with all legislative and political objectives, and direct legislative affairs and political action efforts in the South Dakota region. “From our first conversation, it was clear that Kenley understands the importance of building strong relationships and trust with policymakers,” said Jeff Olson, DakCU president/CEO, “His hands-on advocacy experience, combined with PAC management and a strong community presence, aligns perfectly with our needs. Kenley will step in immediately to build on our momentum and help strengthen the voice of Dakota credit unions with policymakers in Pierre, Bismarck, and Washington, D.C.”
Kenley said he’s excited to jump right in, sharing, “The last few years have been such a great steppingstone leading me to this role. I’m really looking forward to bringing my association experience to DakCU and helping strengthen an already amazing advocacy team. I can’t wait to get started and contribute right away.”
