Elan Credit Card donates $75,000 to local communities on Credit Union Day

Minneapolis, MN (October 16, 2025) |

Inspired by the passion and dedication of our credit union partners, Elan Credit Card (Elan) has donated $75,000 to celebrate Credit Union Day 2025, totaling over $300,000 in donations since the initiative began in 2022.

“Elan’s mission has always been rooted in partnership, and our charitable giving initiative allows us to extend that partnership beyond business. We’re proud to stand alongside our partners in supporting causes that truly make a difference in people’s lives,” shared Peter Klukken, Head of Elan Credit Card.

Each credit union selected a local organization based on the needs of their community. Areas of focus include food insecurity, financial literacy, and various youth programs to support mental, physical, and social well-being.

The 2025 Elan credit union partners and selected nonprofit beneficiaries include:

  • A+ Federal Credit Union (African American Youth Harvest Foundation)
  • Members Cooperative Credit Union (Members Cooperative Credit Union Community Youth Foundation)
  • Sharonview Federal Credit Union (Harvest Hope Food Bank)
  • Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union (Junior Achievement of Georgia)
  • Workers Federal Credit Union (Merrimack Valley Food Bank)

In the coming months, a volunteer event will be scheduled at one of the organizations. This opportunity will allow Elan and its credit union partner to volunteer together and further the impact of the donation. Since this program launched Elan has volunteered with partners in cities coast to coast, including Phoenix, AZ and Tallahassee, FL. Volunteering together continues to be one of the most rewarding aspects of the Elan Charitable Giving program and resonates with the credit union community.
