Reliant Credit Union awards $27,000 in scholarships

SODUS, NY (June 9, 2026) |

Reliant Credit Union is pleased to announce that 15 students will receive scholarships through its 2026 Donald K. Rhine Scholarship program. The scholarship is open to any Reliant member who currently attends or plans to attend an accredited two- or four-year college full-time in the coming school year. Created in honor of the founder of Reliant Credit Union, the scholarship is awarded to students who exemplify the credit union’s “people helping people” philosophy.

This year’s recipients of Reliant’s Donald K. Rhine scholarship are listed below, along with their hometowns.

  • Victoria Fedysiv – Brockport
  • Marcus Haffner – Wolcott
  • Cohen Kelley – Macedon
  • Madelyn Peterson – Webster
  • Estelle Quaglia – Irondequoit
  • Alex Rheude – Canandaigua
  • Kelly Sanson – Macedon
  • Reesa Santell – Newark
  • Jackson Slavny – Victor
  • Ethan Smith – Ontario
  • Julia Sponable – Ontario

Reliant congratulates its scholarship recipients and commends them for their continuous efforts to serve the community. Reliant has offered the Donald K. Rhine scholarship since 1998 and has awarded $313,750 in scholarships to date, including $27,000 in 2026.
