REV Federal Credit Union marks 5th annual REV Day for Good

More than 250 employees volunteer across the Carolinas for a day of giving back

CHARLESTON, S.C (October 28, 2025) |

On Monday, October 13, 2025, more than 250 REV Federal Credit Union employees rolled up their sleeves and fanned out across South Carolina and North Carolina for REV’s 5th Annual REV Day for Good.

The organization’s signature all-employee day of service, part of REV’s #UpTheGood initiative, brought employees together in support of more than 25 nonprofit partners focused on hunger relief, animal welfare, community outreach, education, and the environment. From serving meals and stocking shelves to building, crafting, and cleaning up beaches, REV employees dedicated the federal holiday to hands-on projects that uplift the communities they serve.

Now in its fifth year, REV Day for Good has become one of the Lowcountry’s largest single-day volunteer efforts, with employees contributing more than 4,000 hours of service on this day alone since 2021. The annual event underscores REV’s mission to live its purpose beyond banking and invest directly in the people and organizations that make the Carolinas thrive.

In celebration of this milestone year, REV amplified its impact with a $12,500 donation distributed across participating REV Day for Good collaborators. Each nonprofit received $500 on behalf of REV’s #UpTheGood Foundation in support of their volunteer project or mission, extending the reach and sustainability of the work being done together.

“REV Day for Good is a reflection of our long-term commitment to purpose-driven community impact,” said Jason Lee, President & CEO of REV Federal Credit Union. “As we celebrate five years of this initiative, it’s clear that community impact isn’t something we do once a year, it’s embedded in our culture. Our employees understand that living out REV’s mission means using our collective strength to create meaningful change across the Carolinas. This day demonstrates how business success and community well-being can go hand in hand.”

Morning volunteer projects took place across more than 25 sites throughout South Carolina and North Carolina. South Carolina locations include Charleston (Fisher House Charleston, My Preemie & Yours, Charleston Parks Conservancy), East Cooper (ECCO and Isle of Palms Beach Cleanup), Goose Creek (Helping Hands of Goose Creek), Hollywood (Hallie Hill Animal Sanctuary), Johns Island (Charleston Area Therapeutic Riding), North Charleston (Lowcountry Food Bank, Reality of Money at Stall High School, REV Crafters, Teachers’ Supply Closet), Summerville (Beyond BASIC, Dorchester Paws, Meals on Wheels of Summerville, Oakbrook YMCA, Public Works Art Center, Summerville YMCA), Walterboro (In His Name), and West Ashley (Junior League of Charleston Diaper Bank). North Carolina sites include Richmond County Partnership for Children in Hamlet/Rockingham and Canines for Service, Diaper Bank of NC, and First Fruit Ministries in Wilmington.

The day concluded with all-employee celebrations in both states. The South Carolina employees in REV’s legacy market gathered at the North Charleston Athletic Center, where volunteers shared stories from the morning service projects, met nonprofit partners, and took part in a large-scale community packing project. The “packing party” featured employees assembling essential items such as hygiene kits, pantry staples, birthday celebration kits, pajama bundles and more to provide comfort and relief to neighbors navigating difficult economic times.

“Five years ago, we started REV Day for Good with the simple goal of giving back together,” said Kelly Nix, Public Relations Coordinator at REV Federal Credit Union. “What’s happened since then has been incredible to watch. This day has become part of who we are. Seeing hundreds of our employees out there serving side by side is a powerful reflection of the heart behind REV and our care for community.”
