Texans Credit Union transforms into Halloween headquarters for HopeKids

10th Annual Event provides fun, safe trick-or-treating for children with life-threatening medical conditions

DALLAS, TX (October 30, 2025) |

Texans Credit Union employees welcomed nearly 150 children and their families for the 10th annual HopeKids Halloween celebration this week, transforming the credit union’s headquarters into a safe, controlled environment where kids could experience the magic of Halloween without the health or accessibility challenges that can come with traditional trick-or-treating. The celebration brought together children living with life-threatening conditions for a night of costumes, candy, and community.

For many HopeKids families, public trick-or-treating can be a challenge due to compromised immune systems, mobility needs, or ongoing treatment schedules. A dedicated indoor event allows every child to participate fully and safely, surrounded by volunteers who take extra care to create a joyful experience.

"When these remarkable children put on their costumes and go trick-or-treating, magic happens. For those precious hours, they're not patients, they're superheroes, princesses, and adventurers experiencing the simple joy of being kids,” Mandy Mueller, Executive Director at HopeKids North Texas said. “Thanks to Texans Credit Union, these moments of laughter and connection remind families that hope can shine even in the darkest times. We're so grateful for their years of partnership."

The Wednesday evening event marked a milestone for Texans Credit Union, which has welcomed nearly 1,500 kids and their families to HopeKids Halloween over the last decade.

Entirely volunteer-led by Texans Credit Union employees, the celebration featured themed trick-or-treat stations, colorful decorations, immersive scenes, and games that created an accessible and unforgettable experience for every participant. The Halloween celebration is a cornerstone of Texans Gives Back – the company’s commitment to serving its community through volunteerism, charitable giving, and local partnerships.

“HopeKids Halloween is a tradition that embodies what Texans Credit Union is all about,” said David Frazier, Texans Credit Union CEO. “It’s a reminder that community isn’t just where we live and work it’s who we are. Seeing the smiles on these kids’ faces each year is the best return we could ask for.”
