The MD|DC Credit Union Association as named Rick Wieczorek, President and CEO of the NIH Federal Credit Union (Rockville, MD) as its 2026 CEO of the Year.
Since becoming CEO in 2013, Wieczorek has guided NIHFCU through a period of growth, operational change, and industry disruption while keeping the credit union focused on its mission of serving members. Under his leadership, NIHFCU has advanced major technology and service initiatives, including a core conversion, expanded digital banking capabilities, online account opening, and enhancements to lending systems.

Wieczorek helped NIHFCU navigate economic uncertainty, industry challenges, and the operational demands of the COVID-19 pandemic while maintaining a steady focus on employees and members.
