Tinker Federal Credit Union to host free workshop discussing financial tools and resources in light of the government shutdown

TFCU invites the public and media to learn how best to manage financial stress during uncertain times.

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK (November 3, 2025) |

Tinker Federal Credit Union (TFCU) is set to host a free workshop offering financial tools and  resources to help navigate the government shutdown. The workshop is open to all and will take place at Metro Tech on Wednesday, November 5, with two sessions available for the community to attend. Visitors will receive practical  guidance on budgeting, prioritizing essentials and avoiding high-interest loans, along with information about TFCU’s  hardship relief options. 

Representatives from TFCU’s financial wellness, operations, lending and Member Solutions teams will be on site to  provide personalized advice and discuss available support programs, including fee refunds, skip-a-payment options and  0% interest loans for qualifying members. Local community partners, such as the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma,  Selfless Hands Foundation and Project 66 Food and Resource Center, will also be at the event to share resources and  assistance available to those in need.
