Ellafi Kind announces winners of its inaugural local nonprofit giveaway

MIDDLETOWN, CT (November 4, 2025) |

Ellafi Kind – Ellafi Federal Credit Unions (FCU) new charitable arm dedicated to empowering women through financial wellness and community support – is proud to announce the winners of its first-ever Local Nonprofit Giveaway. 

To celebrate its debut, Ellafi Kind awarded $500 each to five local nonprofits nominated by Ellafi FCU members. One nonprofit was announced each week throughout October, recognizing organizations that uplift women and families across Connecticut and reflecting Ellafis belief that small acts of generosity can create lasting change.

The 2025 Ellafi Kind Local Nonprofit Giveaway winners are:

•           The Food Pantry of North Branford (awarded October 3) – The Food Pantry recently moved into a new location and renovated the building to better serve families in need. With this support, the organization will continue providing food and resources to more local families.

•           TriCircle (awarded October 10) – TriCircle offers programs such as SMART Recovery, Hope & Support, and Hope After Loss to empower individuals, families, and communities affected by addiction. Their compassionate approach promotes strength, connection, and long-term healing.

•           Unashamed, Inc. (awarded October 17) – Unashamed supports foster youth and young adults, ages 14–26, in discovering their worth and purpose. Based in Connecticut, the organization helps current and former foster youth transition into adulthood with confidence, resilience, and hope.

•           Caritas Immigration Legal Services (awarded October 24) – In the heart of Middletown, Caritas Immigration Legal Services stands as a beacon of hope and support for those navigating the intricate path of immigration in Connecticut. As a dedicated legal services provider, they are committed to helping low-income immigrants, as well as the broader community. 

•           Charter Oak WIT (Women in Transition) Program (awarded October 31) The WIT Program empowers women in recovery and life transition through education, mentorship, and employment readiness, helping them rebuild confidence and financial independence.

These organizations exemplify Ellafi Kinds mission to advance financial equity, entrepreneurship, and economic stability for Women+ and the communities they serve,” said Kristen Jensen, VP of Community and Business Relationships at Ellafi and Secretary on the Ellafi Kind Board of Directors. Through Ellafi Kind, were honored to support them.”
