Inspire Federal Credit Union honors community leaders at Annual Meeting

NEWTOWN, PA (May 7, 2026) |

Inspire Federal Credit Union (“Inspire FCU”) recognized outstanding leadership and impact during its Annual Meeting, introducing two new awards that celebrate individuals and organizations making a meaningful difference across Bucks County and surrounding areas.

The inaugural Community Awards program reflects Inspire FCU’s ongoing commitment to strengthening the areas it serves by highlighting partners and individuals who share that mission.

“At Inspire, community is at the heart of everything we do,” said Jim Merrill, President and CEO of Inspire Federal Credit Union. “These awards allow us to recognize and celebrate those who are creating real, lasting impact and helping build stronger communities alongside us.”

Community Impact Award: Women’s Animal Center

Inspire FCU presented its 2026 Community Impact Award to the Women’s Animal Center in Bensalem, recognizing the organization’s long-standing commitment to animal welfare. As part of the award, Inspire FCU provided a $2,000 donation to support the organization’s ongoing work.

Founded in 1869, the Women’s Animal Center is the nation’s oldest animal shelter and continues to lead with compassion through its shelter services, veterinary care, and advocacy efforts.

Community Champion Award: Ofc. Melissa Robison

Inspire FCU also recognized Ofc. Melissa Robison with its 2026 Community Champion Award for her exceptional dedication to supporting local families and improving the well-being of the neighborhood. Robison was presented with a $2,000 donation to the Middletown Community Foundation on her behalf.

Robison has launched impactful initiatives through her leadership and grassroots efforts, including the “Shop with a Cop” program, which serves hundreds of children annually with gifts, food, and holiday experiences. Her work extends year-round, supporting students and families through initiatives like “Fresh Start Closets” across the Neshaminy School District and fundraising for school lunches, supplies, and other essential resources. Known for her compassion and tireless commitment, Robison continues to serve as a catalyst for positive change.

Commitment to Local Impact

The introduction of these awards reinforces Inspire FCU’s strategic focus on investing in the areas it serves and supporting initiatives that enhance quality of life.

As part of this commitment, Inspire FCU plans to expand its Community Awards program in the coming years, increasing recognition of community partners and allocating additional resources to support causes aligned with its mission.
