Summit Federal Credit Union launches family financial literacy partnership with My First Nest Egg

Akron, OH (June 5, 2026) |

Summit Federal Credit Union, a full-service, not-for-profit financial institution serving the Akron and Salem communities, announced a new partnership with My First Nest Egg, a family-first financial literacy program designed to help children build strong money habits early. The collaboration expands Summit’s commitment to supporting its members and community by providing engaging, age-appropriate tools that make financial learning simple—at home, in classrooms, and throughout the communities it serves.

Through this partnership, Summit Federal Credit Union is introducing a fully branded, co-hosted version of the My First Nest Egg platform. Families will gain access to interactive lessons, printable activities, chore and allowance tools, and goal-setting challenges designed to help children ages 3–13 learn foundational money skills in ways that are practical, consistent, and fun.

“We are excited to offer a completely refreshed youth program to our young members through the My First Nest Egg program,” said [Name, Title] at Summit Federal Credit Union. “This material will provide financial literacy while helping shape healthy money habits. The program supports our youngest members and grows with them into their teenage years. We are proud to support our community schools and parents with additional resources to help prepare our youth for the world ahead of them.”

Guided by its philosophy, “Small Enough to Care, Big Enough To Get You There,” Summit Federal Credit Union provides personalized financial services through its branch locations, access to over 30,000 surcharge-free ATMs, and complete digital banking capabilities—ensuring support is available wherever and whenever members need it. This partnership extends that commitment by bringing financial education into everyday family life—helping build stronger financial futures for the next generation.

“At My First Nest Egg, we believe financial education works best when it’s part of everyday life—at home, in schools, and in the community,” said Nicolle Hood, Co-Founder & CEO of My First Nest Egg. “Summit Federal Credit Union’s commitment to its members and local communities makes this partnership especially meaningful.”
