Reliant donates sneakers for children at North Rose-Wolcott Elementary School

SODUS, NY (June 16, 2026) |

Reliant Credit Union continues its commitment to helping students in the Greater Rochester and Finger Lakes region put their best feet forward! Recently, Reliant donated 96 new pairs of sneakers to North Rose-Wolcott Elementary School. The sneakers will be distributed to students from pre-kindergarten through fourth grade.

This is Reliant’s second sneaker donation in 2026, the 10th anniversary year of the credit union’s Feet Forward program. Feet Forward is a special community effort Reliant created in 2016, through which the credit union partners with area schools and organizations to provide quality sneakers to kids who need them. For the seventh year in a row, Reliant is collaborating with Jonathan Griffiths, owner of Rochester Running Company, who helped facilitate the credit union’s purchase of an array of high-quality sneakers so the credit union could donate them to children who otherwise wouldn’t have access to quality footwear.

“At Reliant, we believe every child deserves to feel confident and ready to succeed, starting with something as simple as a good pair of sneakers,” said Pamela Heald, President & CEO of Reliant. “During this 10th anniversary year of our Feet Forward program, we’re proud to continue partnering with our community to support local students and help them take confident steps into their future.”

Since Reliant started Feet Forward in 2016, the credit union has donated 2,929 pairs of sneakers—a total investment of over $90,000 to help local children.

"On behalf of the students, families, and staff at North Rose-Wolcott Elementary, we extend our deepest gratitude to Reliant for their extraordinary generosity. This donation of shoes to our school community reflects a profound commitment to investing in the well-being of our youth,” said Gino Pirozzolo, Coordinator of Student Behavior Standards at North-Rose Wolcott Central School District. “Partnerships like this make a lasting difference in the lives of our children, and we are truly thankful for Reliant’s continued support of education and community."
