Sikorsky Credit Union announced today that it has awarded scholarships to 11 local students through its Thomas J. Williams Scholarship Program, more than doubling the number of recipients recognized in previous years.
The annual scholarship program honors former President and CEO Thomas J. Williams, whose dedication to education and service continues to inspire Sikorsky Credit Union’s commitment to investing in future generations The program supports graduating high school seniors who are pursuing higher education and demonstrates Sikorsky Credit Union’s ongoing investment in the future of its communities.
Applicants were invited to submit essays reflecting on personal financial lessons and the role financial knowledge plays in achieving long-term goals. Scholarship applications were reviewed by a selection committee, which evaluated submissions based on originality, thoughtfulness, and overall quality.
This year’s Thomas J. Williams Scholarship recipients are Thomas DiCorpo, Piper Andersen, Jackson Staffaroni, Clara Joyce, Sydney Girard, Olivia Leimgruber, Gabriella Wayman, Anuhya Shah, Jacob Cichowski, Damaris Wiltshire, and Benjamin Conelius.

The expansion of the scholarship program reflects Sikorsky Credit Union’s continued commitment to supporting educational opportunities and helping young people build a strong financial future. In addition to its scholarship program, Sikorsky Credit Union continues to promote financial education through community outreach initiatives, including Financial Reality Fairs and other programs designed to help students develop practical money management skills.
