TruWest Credit Union will join credit union supporters nationwide on July 31 for I Love My Credit Union Day, a celebration highlighting the many reasons members value their credit unions. The day encourages meaningful conversations about the role credit unions play in strengthening local communities.
Each July, credit unions launch a nationwide social media campaign to build awareness of the credit union movement. This year, TruWest Credit Union is expanding the celebration with special activities at its financial service centers, where members can enjoy photo booths, refreshments, and other fun ways to show their credit union pride.
“We’re inviting everyone to celebrate TruWest online and in person,” said Jennifer Kimmell, chief experience officer at TruWest. “Share your selfies, tag us with #TruWestCU and #ILoveMyCreditUnion, and help spread the excitement on social media. Members can also stop by one of our financial service centers for a day of connection and celebration as we showcase what makes our credit union meaningful to our members and employees.”
Credit unions are not-for-profit organizations owned by their members. They often offer lower fees, better interest rates, personalized service and ongoing financial education. Credit unions also invest in local community development, supporting local causes and charities.
