EAST LANSING, MI (February 12, 2014)—Michigan State University Federal Credit Union was pleased to host a grand opening celebration at its Charlotte Branch on Tuesday, February 4, 2014. The Charlotte Branch is a result of a merger that was completed with Eaton County Educational Credit Union in April 2013. After the merger, the branch underwent a remodel to match the MSUFCU style and brand.
At the grand opening to recognize the branch, formal remarks were made from MSUFCU’s Executive Vice President and COO, April Clobes; MSUFCU’s Board of Directors Chairman, Jack Brick; State Representative, Theresa Abed; Mayor, Carrie Burch; Vice President of Daniels and Zermack Architects, Greg McKenzie; and MSUFCU’s President and CEO, Patrick McPharlin.
McPharlin, commented, “MSU Federal Credit Union is excited for the new opportunity to join the Charlotte community, and we’ve already received a positive welcome from residents. This branch allows us to provide superior service and a convenient location for MSUFCU and former ECECU members in the Charlotte area.”
All of the employees from the ECECU branch, along with some new employees, are still at the newly remodeled branch. The Charlotte Branch is a full-service office offering all services previously available including drive-up and walk-up ATMs, drive-up tellers, mortgage loan services, and a night depository.
