Norma Benson Memorial Scholarship to benefit credit unions of limited means

DEL MAR, CA (February 20, 2014) -- Credit unions from across the country have been invited to apply for two scholarships to attend the National Association of Credit Union Chairmen’s (NACUC) 2014 Leadership Development Seminar in Baltimore, Maryland, June 29 – July 1.  The Norma Benson Memorial Scholarship was established by NACUC to give volunteer directors from credit unions of modest means the opportunity to participate in high-level leadership training.  The seminar agenda covers an array of board topics using a format that is a blend of group discussion and instruction.  One of this year’s scholarships is being awarded in honor of late governance consultant Dan Clark, who conducted the Leadership Development Seminar for 23 years and worked with hundreds of credit union boards.  Scholarship winners will be announced in mid-April.

Headquartered in Del Mar, California, the National Association of Credit Union Chairmen is the only national trade association dedicated to the development of credit union chairmen through unique, high-level networking and educational programs.  Visit us on the web at www.nacuc.org.
