LOWELL, MA (March 31, 2014) -- Align Credit Union is pleased to announce its donation to the Merrimack Valley based non-profit the Tough Warrior Princesses (TWPs) to fund their Survivor Baskets program. The Tough Warrior Princesses donate baskets to women and families affected by cancer. The baskets include gift cards to local business, gas cards to help defray the costs of rides to treatment, homemade meals and other items.
“With Align’s generous donation, we know that we are going to be able to help many women and families in the Merrimack Valley area who are working to overcome cancer,” stated TWP President Sherri Ziomek.
“The survivor baskets are our first outreach to newly diagnosed women to let them know that the TWPs are here to provide support, resources and rides,” added TWP Vice President Patty Mellon.
Each year, Align donates thousands of dollars to both local and national non-profits as part of its commitment to connecting with the communities it serves. “From providing meals and rides for cancer patients to raising funds for cancer research, the TWPs are making a difference every day,” said Align President and CEO Ken Del Rossi. “We are happy to support their outreach efforts.”
