PLYMOUTH, MI (April 15, 2014) – Real estate values are up – should you buy, sell, or refinance? Catholic Vantage Financial is hosting a free workshop for homebuyers. You will hear firsthand from professionals representing the mortgage and real estate industry about what’s hot, and what’s not! The workshop takes place at the credit union’s Plymouth branch located at 8817 Sheldon, on the Northwest corner of Sheldon and Joy.
Mortgage lending has new federal rules and regulations to follow as of January 2014. The new rules come from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), which was established from the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010, to protect consumers by carrying out federal consumer financial laws.
“We want to bring this information to consumers before they start their home buying process. The material presented at our workshop will help people to plan for a successful real estate experience”, said Emma Teller, Director of Marketing and Business Development for the credit union. “Homeowners and potential buyers can ask questions to our panelists and will leave the workshop with a better understanding of the real estate market and the new mortgage process”, she continued.
