Filene’s research council helps plan the nonprofit’s research projects, volunteers to pilot Filene innovations at their credit unions, and works with Filene’s outside researchers to provide access and insights to the credit union system. Brancucci, Chavez, Chilcott, Luimes, Oram, Perez and Purvis join 28 other CEOs from credit unions across the United States and Canada currently serving as members of the research council.

“The research council has played a crucial role in charting the future of cooperative finance since Filene’s beginnings 25 years ago,” said Mark Meyer, CEO at Filene. “Under their guidance, we’re committed to delivering research that not only addresses credit unions’ and financial consumers’ current needs but also identifies emerging issues before they become urgent.”
