NCRESA and Gerber FCU hold Duck Dynasty themed Youth Financial Literacy Fair

FREMONT, MI (April 16, 2014) -- The Newaygo County Regional Educational Service Agency (NCRESA) in partnership with Gerber Federal Credit Union's Student Run Branch held a Youth Financial Literacy Fair titled “Buck Dynasty: How to Get More Bang for Your Buck” at the Career-Tech Center in April.  This event was open to the public and participants visited various booths to experience financial life lessons all made fun by the “Duck Dynasty” theme.  To increase the fun, Gerber Federal Credit Union employees dressed as Duck Dynasty characters.

In December 2013, Gerber Federal Credit Union opened a Student Run Branch within the commons area of the Newaygo Career-Tech Center.  The Commons Cash Center, as named by the students of the Business Applied Technology class, is a school and business partnership operated by students for the students, instructors and staff at NCRESA.
