SPOKANE, WA (May 23, 2014) -- In honor of Memorial Day, Global launches their 2014 Wear Red campaign today in collaboration with KXLY, to celebrate and support men and women in the Armed Forces.
Global’s staff, three of whom are pictured right, will be wearing red every Friday through September 11, to recognize American troops fighting for our freedoms.
Throughout this six month campaign, Global is raising money for local military organizations in each region they serve. They are handing out red wristbands, selling Wear Red t-shirts and accepting donations to raise money for these local organizations.
This is Global’s third consecutive year honoring servicemen and servicewomen through Wear Red Fridays. Established in 1954 on Fairchild Air Force Base as a military credit union, Global is deeply invested in honoring and giving back to the men and women who defend our country and protect our independence.
Global CEO and President Jack Fallis says, “As Global celebrates its 60th anniversary this year, we attribute much of our success to our inception as a military credit union. Our Wear Red campaign is just one way we thank our troops and veterans for their service. Join us and Wear Red on Fridays.”
Global encourages everyone to show their support for American troops by wearing red on Fridays. For more information on which organizations benefit from this campaign and how to help please visit www.globalcu.org/wearred.
