Lauren Hoffman awarded Credit Union Youth Ambassador of Pennsylvania

(May 27, 2014) -- Lauren Hoffman, Marketing Specialist at AmeriChoice Federal Credit Union, was selected as the 2014 Credit Union Youth Ambassador of Pennsylvania by the Pennsylvania Credit Union Association (PCUA).  At the competition, Ms. Hoffman competed in an oral presentation based on helping credit unions connect with younger generations, an examination testing her credit union knowledge, and an interview with each of the judges.

She will represent the PCUA at various events and speaking engagements throughout the year and help to connect the credit union movement with the younger generation.

As the Marketing Specialist for AmeriChoice, Hoffman is responsible for public relations, focusing on community events and credit union achievements.  Additionally, Hoffman is responsible for AmeriChoice’s social media.  Her passion for reaching and connecting with consumers through social media helps promote the credit union, its brand, and current promotions while building member relationships.

Hoffman is also responsible for the financial literacy curriculum in schools, teaching students about the importance of saving, budgeting, as well as debit and credit.

Hoffman is a graduate of Elizabethtown College, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications.  Hoffman’s passions extend beyond marketing and social media and involve being a member of the advisory council for the Capital Region Partnership for Career Development, being the Vice-Chair of the West Shore Chamber of Commerce’s Education Committee, teaching Junior Achievement, and serving the community in which she lives and works.
