JACKSONVILLE, FL (May 29, 2014) -- Following its strategic plan of moving its branches from storefront rentals to stand-alone locations, 121 Financial Credit Union will be relocating its Intracoastal branch to 3475 Kernan Boulevard South in East Arlington of Jacksonville, Florida.
The new location, which is approximately 4 ½ miles from the current commercial strip center location at 127040-12 Atlantic Boulevard, offers full banking services, including three drive-through lanes, a 24-hour drive-up ATM and safe deposit boxes.
The new facility will have approximately 4,164 square feet, which is 1,900 feet larger than the current location. The new location, purchased by 121 Financial, is the former Hancock building.
“We believe this new location will be more convenient for our members and make banking easier than at our strip center location, “ explained Dale Moitt, 121 Financial’s Intracoastal branch manager. “And a larger facility will help us serve those who live at the beach as well as those in East Arlington.”
The exact timing of the branch’s relocation has yet to be determined but should occur sometime between mid-July to Mid-August.
121 Financial has focused on providing specialized banking services to individuals and small businesses throughout the First Coast area. The credit union, which has experienced steady, but also planned growth, has been moving toward self-standing facilities for its members. “We moved our Argyle branch into our own building last year,” reported William Braddock, CEO of 121 Financial. “The prior year we moved our Mandarin branch to a self-standing facility that we purchased on San Jose Boulevard. As our base of members grows, we are keeping up with that growth with larger, more convenient locations.”
