MELBOURNE, FL (July 28, 2014) -- SCCU’s Viera Branch hosted a surprise gas giveaway on Friday, July 11, 2014. One hundred lucky area residents were the recipients of $25 gas gift cards that were given out at the Mobil located on Stadium Pkwy in Viera, Florida - next to the SCCU Viera Branch. SCCU staff members began distributing the gas cards at 3:00 pm and within an hour the gas cards had all been issued.
“June marked the one-year anniversary of our newest Brevard County branch, located at 5470 Stadium Parkway in West Viera. To celebrate we wanted to give back to the community and bring attention to our Members' Watchdog commitment of always protecting the best interests of our members,” said Beverly Barnwell, Space Coast Credit Union’s Director of Retail Services for North Brevard.
The SCCU Watchdog philosophy provides members with the peace of mind knowing that their financial institution is looking out for them, added Barnwell.
In addition to the gas card giveaway, SCCU staff members distributed scratch-off cards for a chance to win instant cash prizes and served food and refreshments at the Viera Branch.
