Freedom Credit Union hosts meet & greet for congressional candidate

WARMINSTER, PA (July 29, 2014) -- State Representative Brendan Boyle, candidate for Congress, was welcomed to Freedom Credit Union by President/CEO John F. King, Freedom staff, and Christina Mihalik, Pennsylvania Credit Union Association VP of Governmental Affairs last week at Freedom’s Lansdale Branch to discuss key legislative issues that impact Credit Unions.

Freedom Credit Union hosted a meet and greet for State Representative Brendan Boyle (D-170), who is running for the 13th Congressional District. The seat, one of two open U.S. House seats in Pennsylvania this year, is being vacated in January by Congresswoman Allyson Schwartz (D-13).

Leading the Freedom group to welcome Boyle was President/CEO John F. King, a member of the Pennsylvania Credit Union Association’s Governmental Affairs Committee. Christina Mihalik, VP, Governmental Affairs, attended the meeting on behalf of the Association.

The discussion focused on the costs and ability to serve Members associated with today's regulatory environment, business lending, and financial literacy.
