FORT SMITH, AR (July 29, 2014) -- United Federal Credit Union has been selected as one of the 2014 Best Places to Work in Arkansas by Arkansas Business in partnership with Best Companies Group. This is the second year of the annual program which recognizes and honors the twelve best employers in Arkansas, benefiting the state’s economy, workforce and businesses.

Best Companies Group conducts a two-part company assessment designed to gather detailed data about each participating company. In part one, the employer completes a questionnaire and in part two, employees of the company complete an employee survey. The workplaces are then ranked based on the combined data.

To be eligible for consideration, companies must meet the following criteria:
- Be a for-profit or not-for-profit business or government entity
- Be a publicly or privately held business
- Have a facility in the state of Arkansas
- Have a minimum of 15 employees working in the state of Arkansas*
- Must be in business a minimum of 1 year
