EAST LANSING, MI (August 26, 2014) -- MSU Federal Credit Union is excited to welcome new and returning students to campus for the upcoming school year. Credit Union employees will be visiting various campus locations as part of Michigan State University’s (MSU) Fall 2014 Student Welcome to offer financial tips, provide students with information on our products and services, and to help students open new accounts.
MSUFCU employees will be available to answer financial questions at our East Lansing, MSU Union, and Farm Lane branches as well as at various student events and in the dorms throughout the week. Students are welcome to stop by to learn how to become members and to find out how the Credit Union can help them reach financial success.
We will be hosting financial education seminars on MSU’s campus, presenting topics on budgeting, identity theft, and establishing positive credit. These Financial U seminars will be held at the MSU Union on September 9-11, from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. Please visit www.msfufcu.org/community/events to register and for a full list of financial education seminars.
MSUFCU also offers a free financial app designed for college students in the Apple iTunes App Store, money.edu. Users can use money.edu to set up budgets, learn financial terminology and facts, submit questions to an expert, and more.
“Our partnership with MSU provides a great opportunity for us to head to campus to meet the incoming students,” said Patrick McPharlin, MSUFCU’s President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). “Our goal is to help provide the financial tools that will allow them to achieve success during and after college.”
