Neighbors Credit Union hosts multiple credit report seminars

ST LOUIS, MO (September 5, 2014) -- Neighbors Credit Union hosted three free annual Credit Report Seminars on August 14, 20 and 21, 2014.

Eric Clark, Vice President of Lending from Neighbors Credit Union, conducted all three educational  seminars. The seminars explained what a credit report and score is and how to read them with systematic instructions. Members learned where consumer-reporting agencies get their information and what factors are used to calculate their score.  Each registered guest received free educational materials and a copy of their own credit report and score to follow along with during the presentation. And, two lucky winners at each seminar walked away with gift cards as prizes.

More than 85 attendees participated in the discussion at the seminars. Eric Clark, VP of Lending, stated, “Since credit reports are an important part of our financial lives, many of our members are eager to understand credit and find ways to utilize credit reporting to their advantage.  As a credit union, one of our efforts is to share knowledge to improve our members’ financial future.  At our seminars, we’re able to show our members concrete ways to save money and improve their financial future.  Enabling members through knowledge is how our credit union lives out our mission every day.”
