CUNA and FI Strategies team up to enhance credit unions operational efficiency

MADISON, WI (October 31, 2014) -- CUNA has joined forces with FI Strategies, LLC to put credit union sales and service teams on track toward improved processes and increased efficiencies with Process Analysis & Optimization (PAO). PAO helps credit union managers address issues in workflow, sharpen processes and initiate changes to optimize efficiency.

“I've seen countless credit unions get bogged down in complex processes when they could be streamlining their operations and establishing a sales and service culture that will continue to improve itself in the long run,” said Meghann Dawson, CUNA Director of Learning Events. “Process Analysis & Optimization is all about doing more with less, so I'm excited to see it shift credit unions' focus and enable our leaders to spend more time on worthwhile pursuits and less on the ineffectual tasks that are actually costing money.”

The PAO program guides credit union managers and select employees toward ongoing, self-sustained process optimization. As a result, participating credit unions will see a significant and immediate increase in efficiencies while establishing a common “production and efficiency” language that permanently improves their cultures.

Upon completing this program, participants will be able to:

  • Measure and improve production quality
  • Forecast future volumes and capacity
  • Improve processes through analysis and flow charting
  • Measure the economic impact of their improved processes
  • Effectively record and track vital performance data
  • Differentiate between batch and demand tasks

FI Strategies comes to credit unions to teach managers the PAO program. PAO's content is presented in highly interactive sessions and is designed to be understood and actionable, allowing all PAO-trained personnel to own this process and affect change. FI Strategies collaborates with the in-house teams to help ensure the new, improved routines become engrained in culture.
