2015 CUNA Enterprise Risk Management for Directors & Executives dates announced

MADISON, WI (December 9, 2014) – CUNA, in collaboration with The Rochdale Group, Inc, announced today that registration is open for CUNA Enterprise Risk Management for Directors & Executives, which will take place April 19-22, 2015 in Chicago, IL. Registration and details for this annual program on the strategic approach to risk are available at training.cuna.org/ermdirector-exec.

“It's been great to see more of today's credit unions turn risk from a scary word into a strategic element that can be harnessed and leveraged for responsible financial gain,” said Todd Spiczenski, Senior Vice President, CUNA Association Services. “All it takes is a change in perspective, a bit of confidence and the right industry know-how – and that's exactly what The Rochdale team delivers through Enterprise Risk Management each year.”

Presented by a team of enterprise risk management (ERM) experts, this program provides credit union leaders with the tools to harness risk and build lasting solutions within today's fast-changing financial environment. Attendees will learn the ins and outs of the ERM approach and its implementation as The Rochdale Group experts, Scott Hood, Tony Ferris and Jeff Owen, provide guidance and insights on every crucial detail along the way.

Their sessions will cover the essential topics for sustaining an ERM program, including:

  • Understanding ERM - Introduction to ERM Fundamentals
  • ERM Roles & Responsibilities
  • Board Liability
  • Strategic Planning & Risk Roles
  • Risk Appetite
  • Governance of ERM - Managing the ERM Program

Throughout the program's four days of ERM-specific training, attendees will have constant  opportunities to network with other credit union decision makers and get expert advice from The Rochdale Group team.

Those interested in earning their Credit Union Enterprise Risk Management Expert (CUERME) designation may do so by attending this winter's CUNA Enterprise Risk Management Certification Institute, December 8-11, 2014  in Las Vegas, NV.
