SAINT JOSEPH, MI (December 9, 2014) -- Honor Credit Union is proud to have contributed to the Dolly Parton Imagination Library in 2014. Honor made a $3,000 donation to the program that allows any child in Berrien and Cass Counties to receive one free book every single month from birth through their fifth birthday.
With a goal of providing every child a library of their own by the time they enter kindergarten, the Dolly Parton Imagination Library is made possible to Berrien and Cass County families through United Way of Southwest Michigan. The cost of for one child to receive a new, age appropriate book mailed directly to their house addressed to them once a month for a year is $35. Honor Credit Union’s $3,000 donation contributed to providing this wonderful educational resource to approximately 85 local children in 2014. With an ongoing focus on education and youth development, Honor Credit Union was excited to help put books directly in the hands of children in Berrien and Cass counties.
