Alex Ysquierdo joins Summit Credit Union as manager for City Station branch

MADISON, WI (December 23, 2014) -- Summit Credit Union has named Alex Ysquierdo manager at the financial’s City Station branch, located at 670 W. Washington Ave. in Madison.

Prior to joining Summit, Ysquierdo was a consultant for U.S. Cellular for five years. He is a member of the Latino Professionals Association of Greater Madison and serves on the board of directors for the Latino Chamber of Commerce of Dane County (LCC) where he is working with the organization to help establish a professional development program.*

Ysquierdo is responsible for promoting Summit Credit Union’s mission of improving members’ financial lives to help them reach their dreams.  He believes this mission can be attained through educating and mentoring the community on how to maintain financial stability.

Originally from South Texas, also known as ‘The Valley’, Ysquierdo and his family came to central Wisconsin as migrant workers when he was nine years old.  Soon afterward, his father was offered a permanent, full-time job and his family settled in Nekoosa, Wisconsin.  Ysquierdo attended the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and earned a bachelor of arts degree in Latin American Culture Studies. He lives in Columbus, Wisconsin, with his wife and three daughters.
