Mountain West Credit Union Association CEO Scott Earl named to Western CUNA Management School Board

(December 19, 2014) -- Mountain West Credit Union Association President and CEO Scott Earl recently joined the Western CUNA Management School (WCMS) Board of Trustees.

Comprised of nine credit union CEOs, two League presidents, the WCMS president, and WCMS provost—the board is responsible for oversight and direction of the school.

“We are glad to have Scott on the board. His years of experience within the credit union movement make him a welcomed and ideal addition to our team,” said WCMS Board Chairman and Rogue Credit Union President and CEO Gene Pelham.

The Mountain West Credit Union Association is a combined entity comprising the Arizona Credit Union League, the Credit Union Association of Colorado and the Credit Union Association of Wyoming.

Earl began his credit union career in 1982 as marketing director for the Utah League of Credit Unions and was named president and CEO of the Utah League and its subsidiary, the Credit Union Service Corporation, in 1991—a position he held until the end of 2003.

The other trustees are vice chairman Horizons North CU CEO Brad Harvey, treasurer Xceed Financial CU CEO Teresa Freeborn, California and Nevada Credit Union Leagues VP of Education and Training and WCMS Provost Mark Klinkert; Professor of Economics at Pomona College and WCMS President James D. Likens; secretary Wescom CU CEO Darren Williams, Numerica CU CEO Carla Altepeter, SchoolsFirst FCU CEO Bill Cheney, California and Nevada Credit Union Leagues President and CEO Diana Dykstra, Redwood CU CEO Brett Martinez, Orange County’s CU CEO Shruti Miyashiro, and Mountain America CU CEO Sterling Nielsen.
