AUSTIN, TX (January 22, 2015) -- Starting today A+ Federal Credit Union (A+FCU) debit card holders can easily pay in stores and within apps without having to open their wallet with Apple Pay. Using their iPhone 6, A+FCU members will have a convenient, quick and secure way to pay for purchases at hundreds of thousands of stores accepting contactless payments and make purchases within participating apps using their iPhone 6, iPad Air 2, and iPad mini 3.
“We recognized early the importance of offering Apple Pay to our debit card holders and the new level of security and convenience it offers our members,” said A+FCU CEO Kerry A. S. Parker.
Instead of using an actual debit card number, Apple Pay assigns a unique Device Account Number along with a dynamic security code for each transaction or purchase. Once a transaction is complete, the security code is no longer available which reduces the risk of fraud and identity theft.
