COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (April 27, 2015) -- Ent Federal Credit Union employees recently kicked off a spring fundraising and construction campaign with Pikes Peak Habitat for Humanity in support of “The Second House that Ent Built.”
Ent employees have set a goal of raising $30,000 and volunteering 3,200 hours over the next two months in support of this effort. Planned fundraising activities include bake sales, “jeans day Fridays” at Ent locations and online employee auctions – in addition to inviting member donations.
New this year, fundraising team captains from each credit union location and department painted “Home Sweet Home” canvases, one of which is on display at each Ent Service Center. These canvases will be auctioned off to staff at the end of the campaign to generate an additional donation to Habitat.
“Ent’s employees continue to exceed expectations with their enthusiasm, financial support and time commitment to our spring Habitat campaign. In 2014, over one third of Ent’s staff volunteered time at the build site for ‘The House That Ent Built’ – and were recognized by Pikes Peak Habitat for Humanity as their 2014 Volunteer Group of the Year,” said Barbara Winter, Ent Executive Vice President of Organizational Resources. “All of us at Ent are excited to be working with Habitat for Humanity again this year - building another home for a deserving family in our community.”
This year’s home is being built in the Country Living development in Fountain, Colorado. When completed, the development will contain 34 Habitat homes. For more information on “The Second House that Ent Built,” or to make a donation, visit Ent.com/Habitat.
