Credit union hosts successful blood drive

TruMark Financial® Credit Union employees and members of the community donated blood at the credit union’s semi-annual blood drive on Feb. 8, to support the American Red Cross. Sixteen pints of blood were donated which has the potential of saving more than 48 lives. The American Red Cross provides life-saving blood and blood products to patients in hospitals as well as offers relief to victims of disasters. "The credit union philosophy of ‘people helping people’ is showcased through community partnerships like the one we’ve established with the American Red Cross,” said Karen Sweeney, senior vice president, chief human resources officer.
