First Financial Federal Credit Union joined businesses, families, and individuals from throughout our community in supporting two very worthwhile organizations with a $1,000 sponsorship for the Celtic Canter 5k and Pub Crawl. The event, held on March 9 in historic downtown Westminster, benefited Access Carroll, which coordinates health and social care services for low-income residents of Carroll County, andTarget Community and Educational Services, which provides residential, educational, vocational, recreational, and family support services to children and adults with disabilities, also in Carroll County.
In addition to the signature 5k run and kids’ run, the highly attended and festive event features post-race celebrations, an award ceremony, live music, activities for children, and a variety of vendors. As one of the attending vendors, First Financial was on hand at the event to share information about the credit union with runners and their supporters.
“When you come to this event, the first thing you may see is people stretching, getting ready to run, and kids dashing from one activity to the next. However, if you look closer, you see caring people who have come together to do something good. You see people here who know that they will have access to the services they need because of this event,” First Financial Relationship Manager, Lydia Lamartina said. “That’s why we’re really here, and we appreciate the opportunity to band together with other like-minded organizations and families to support these causes and strengthen our community.”
