Today Ball State Federal Credit Union, a full service financial institution with a main office, student center branch, and ATM locations to serve members in Muncie and Yorktown, planned a pizza party at Ball State University Campus Police Department. In the spirit of service, this lunch is a small way to say thank you for their hard work and dedication to our community.
The credit union brought a variety of Greek’s specialty pizzas and Insomnia Cookies from the heart of the village to the University’s Police Department. The pizza and cookies served 17 of the police department’s team members.
This is the credit union’s second year of having lunch with the police department, a tradition that the credit union is honored to continue. The idea of the lunch launched from the campus PD’s own Lunch with a Cop program. “I remember it was near Valentine’s Day last year when I saw their social media post inviting students to have lunch with an officer, for free.” said Chrissy Stefani, Ball State Federal Credit Union’s VP/HR & Marketing. “What a tremendous opportunity for a student, and we should do the same for the police department!”
Lieutenant Terrell Smith of Ball State University Police Department said about the event “I truly appreciate you and all of the administrators at the Credit Union for providing this luncheon for our officers and staff, as well as your continuous support of the Ball State Police Department. Thank you so much!”
“The BSU Campus Police have always gone out of their way to take fantastic care of us here at the credit union.” said Randy Glassburn, President/CEO of Ball State Federal Credit Union. “This is fun way to say thank you and share a little springtime cheer!”
