The Focus Federal Credit Union held its 6th Annual Silent Auction Fundraiser on November 6, 2019. This year’s fundraiser was to help support the kids at the Children’s Rehabilitation Center in Bethany, Oklahoma. The Children’s Rehabilitation Center provides specialized care to children with complex medical needs.
Focus employees, and volunteers bid on baskets, meals, artwork and other merchandise donated by staff and business partners. “We used our intraweb to post pictures and descriptions of the auction items and to bid on merchandise” says Chandra Goodson, Indirect Lending Coordinator and auction organizer. “This technology has been a great tool in helping us get all of our staff and branches involved.”
Abigail Cabello, Community Development Officer says, “We are proud to be part of the communities we serve. The Children’s Rehabilitation Center is very near and dear to our hearts. Several Focus staff members and their families have been impacted by this wonderful organization. Our $500 donation will be used to purchase specifically requested toys, therapeutic items, art supplies and electronics such as TVs and DVD players.”
