Pelican State Credit Union reaches 200th Dale Carnegie graduate milestone

Pelican State Credit Union is thrilled to announce it has reached the milestone of 200 team members graduating from the critically acclaimed Dale Carnegie Course.

The Dale Carnegie Course has helped strengthen both personal and professional relationships all over the world for more than 100 years. Since the course was founded in 1912, it has graduated over 9 million people and has graduates in over 80 countries.

On Tuesday, November 19, 2019, Dale Carnegie Training concluded its eighth class in association with Pelican State Credit Union. The Winner Institute, a franchisee of the Dale Carnegie training course, was the host site of the class. As of Tuesday’s class, Pelican has now graduated a total of 203 employees from Dale Carnegie, which is the most of any company since the two partnered in 2014!

Tyler Winner, President of the Winner Institute, said, “I was impressed with how eager every team at Pelican was to start their Dale Carnegie class. They have kept up the focus to make sure everybody has the tools to be the best version of themselves they can be.” Winner added, “This milestone is so important because it gives Pelican a critical mass of employees that operate by the same set of principles. There is a comradery and level of enthusiasm among Pelican’s team members that you don’t see in companies very often.”

Pelican started its Dale Carnegie journey when CEO Jeffrey K. Conrad reached out on behalf of the credit union’s executive team. The team benefitted from the course so much that Conrad made it a priority to eventually have the whole company take the course as well.

“I felt that because Dale Carnegie’s values were so consistent with Pelican’s, by taking this course, our team members would be even more so equipped with the tools necessary to accomplish great things—both in their careers and their everyday lives,” said Conrad.
