On Wednesday, December 18, 2019, First Capital Federal Credit Union’s Community Engagement Officer Lisa Barshinger and President/CEO, Sue DeStephano, presented a check for $1,500 to Kevin Eck, President of the York County Veterans Outreach.
The money was raised through our First Cap Gives Back program. In 2019, we selected four charities to support, one per quarter. York County Veterans Outreach was selected as the 4th quarter charity. To raise money, staff sold soft pretzels to members. Employees also paid $5.00 to wear jeans on two days during the quarter. Additionally, First Capital sponsored and participated in the Veterans Outreach golf tournament. In total, First Capital donated $1,500 to the group.
