Meriwest, selected as Bridge Award Winner by Cupertino Chamber

Meriwest Credit Union, one of the largest credit unions serving Silicon Valley, is excited to announce its selection as recipient of the 2020 Cupertino Bridge Award for Outstanding Business of the Year from the Cupertino Chamber of Commerce. The Bridge Award is given annually to recognize those individuals and organizations that have helped build trust, respect, and dialogue within Cupertino’s multi-ethnic and multi-cultural business community.

Meriwest COO, Lisa Pesta said, “We are honored to receive this award and will use this as incentive to continue building bridges within Cupertino and the surrounding Silicon Valley communities. This award reflects our commitment and dedication to support local small business owners and community residents.”

Meriwest Credit Union joined the Cupertino Chamber of Commerce in October of 2016, almost a year before they officially opened their first office in Cupertino. And since that early start, Meriwest staff has been model participants and supporters of a remarkable array of community events and causes. According to the Chamber, Meriwest Credit Union and its staff have truly exemplified the Chamber’s core values of “conveying respect and praise combined with an adventurous and entrepreneurial spirit” in their active service to our community.

The Chamber also selected Colean Tang for a Bridge Award for Individual Service and Volunteerism.

The awards were presented at the 2020 Lunar New Year Luncheon Celebrating the Year of the Rat in the Cupertino Room, Quinlan Community Center, Cupertino, on Friday, February 7.
